"Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story": "Legacy Work" and Helping our Patients Make Meaning at the End of Life - On Demand 2026
Quilts, recipes, and recorded stories become lifelines at the bedside. Drawing on oral-history work with African American elders on Chicago’s South Side, this session shows how to design gentle prompts, record guided interviews, analyze themes, and synthesize takeaway tools that help patients reflect and navigate mortality. You’ll leave ready to incorporate legacy work into every encounter with clarity, empathy, and purpose.
