Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, learners should be able to:
  1. Review opportunities and barriers to providing women’s health care in inpatient setting, and explore the role of the Hospitalist in closure of care delivery gaps.
  2. Improve medical knowledge of four key women’s health issues commonly encountered in the inpatient setting: contraception, abnormal uterine bleeding, perimenopausal and hormonal therapies, and fertility/pregnancy.
  3. Apply existing clinical guideline-based recommendations for management of these issues to the inpatient setting.
  4. Formulate strategies and best practices for multidisciplinary communication and longitudinal care coordination through discussion between outpatient and inpatient women’s health providers.
