SHM's Clinical Quick Talks

In light of the busy clinical services and demands on hospitalists’ schedules, it is often difficult to carve out time to prepare short lectures for residents and students. To meet this need, SHM's Education Committee created a library of quick talks designed to be succinct (given in less than 10 minutes) for use during teaching rounds, a brief sit-down session, or topic review. Access to this library is free for active SHM members, and nonmembers can subscribe (3 years for $199).

Rapid Clinical Updates: Challenging Inpatient Scenarios in Atrial Fibrillation

Atrial fibrillation is a common clinical condition that hospitalists encounter. In this webinar, we will go beyond rate control and direct oral anticoagulants and explore aspects of caring for hospitalized patients with atrial fibrillation that can be challenging including predicting treatment strategies for new onset atrial fibrillation, and navigating anticoagulation in patients with increased risk of bleeding.
