Dizziness Deconstructed: A Simplified Bedside Approach for the Busy Hospitalist - On Demand 2026
Bedside clues beat costly scans: witness real eye‑movement videos and case vignettes that show how dizzy patients tell their story through their gaze. You’ll master a streamlined exam, evaluate patterns, and learn to design high‑yield tests only when they matter. Critique pitfalls, differentiate benign vestibular syndromes from central threats in minutes, and enhance your diagnostic confidence while cutting waste and speeding safe dispositions.

Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, learners should be able to:
  1. Describe and systematically apply an evidence-based bedside approach to the evaluation of dizziness and vertigo in clinical practice by solving real-patient cases.
  2. Differentiate benign {e.g. vestibular neuritis, benign positional paroxysmal vertigo (BPPV)} from dangerous causes (e.g. stroke) of dizziness by solving real-world patient cases and interpreting eye movement videos.
  3. Select appropriate neuroimaging studies for dizzy patients using a targeted, high-value approach that limits wasteful investigations.
