Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, learners should be able to:
  1. Recognize the many unique benefits that rounding at the bedside provides to learners and patients: direct observation, spending more time with patients, physical exam/POCUS, centering trainees as the primary providers for our patients.
  2. Identify strategies for obtaining buy-in from learners and for creating safe learning environments while rounding at the bedside.
  3. List multiple high-yield resources hospitalists can use to help themselves and their colleagues thrive as bedside educators.
  4. Describe several facilitators and barriers that can impact the success of bedside rounds and identify how to optimize those factors in their own institutions.
