Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, learners should be able to:
  1. Demonstrate understanding of ultrasound physics and technology and the fundamentals to operate a portable ultrasound machine (“knobology”).
  2. Differentiate between the different types of ultrasound transducers and select thecorrect transducer type for various POCUS applications.
  3. Demonstrate proper techniques to perform a focused cardiac and lung ultrasound byrecognizing and interpreting abnormal thoracic ultrasound images.
  4. Recognize the normal sonographic appearance of abdominal solid organs, neck, andlower extremity vasculature by interpreting a series of abnormal ultrasound images.
