The educational goal of the in person activity is to have healthcare workers in the hospital medicine field understand what are scenarios that Hospitalists often see when it comes to ethics. They will be made aware of the roles of healthcare professionals in it and how Hospitalists can make an impact when cases involving ethics occur.

Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, learners should be able to:
  1. Identify how to apply ethical principles to patient care.
  2. Learn what needs to be done in order to provide quality service to patients in a hospital based setting.
  3. Determine when it is necessary to involve the medical ethicists when managing an inpatient.
  4. Determine the steps to going about getting ethics on board, and how do meetings work for the care model.
  5. Understand the limitations of ethics.
