Data were pooled using random-effects models in Review Manager 5.3 and OpenMetaAnalyst, with heterogeneity assessed and ROC curves generated.<br /><br />Results showed a pooled sensitivity of 81.7% and a pooled specificity of 90.1% for POCUS in accurately diagnosing cardiovascular disease compared with reference standards. However, heterogeneity was high, especially for specificity, indicating considerable variation across studies.<br /><br />The authors concluded that POCUS appears to have good overall diagnostic performance for these cardiovascular conditions and may help in both diagnosis and prognosis prediction. They also emphasized the need for more research on additional cardiovascular diseases to strengthen the evidence base.
